The Church is Still ALIVE in 2025!
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 16:18

God is Still on His Throne
The Bible declares that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and that He does not change (Malachi 3:6). If we live in this life any length of time, we know that change is inevitable. You probably know someone, or you are someone who declares change, as a “dirty” word and the thought of it may cause you to go into sheer panic mode and trigger every nerve within, while others get excited when they know a change is about to take place and new challenges will be faced due to it. Whichever you are, change influences you, but one thing is for certain, no matter what may change in our personal lives, God never changes.
Over the last week, everyone has probably felt a multitude of different emotions, whether it be disappointment, excitement, frustration, or any other type of emotion. Our country is about to be under new leadership and whether you voted for the president-elect or not, Christians must take heart and remember that God is still on His throne and that a presidential election does not hinder His ability of being God and doing what He has always done. We all need stability and consistency in our lives, because without it we have no true foundation to build our life upon. We also know that a poor foundation will eventually bring destruction to our lives, just as a poor foundation will eventually destroy even the most luxurious of buildings. Do you need stability in your life today? Do you need help during life’s changes and challenges? Do you need a solid foundation to build your life, marriage, and home upon? Turn to God, for He can and will provide just that for you (Luke 6:48). If God allows us to see tomorrow, He will cause the sun to rise in the morning, the earth to rotate on her axis, the sun will set in the evening, and the seasons will continue to change, as we live every day fulfilling the responsibilities we have been given. Take heart today fellow Christian, the same promises of God that you counted on yesterday, are the same today, and will be the same tomorrow, for He remains on His throne!

“And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.” Hebrews 1:10-12

Never Be Ashamed!
In the hour in which we live, being a Christian is not the easiest practice to live out in a bold manner. The liberal church who compromises to remove any type of ridicule from the world seems to be thriving, while the church/Christians who holds faithful to the principles and doctrines taught in the Bible are deemed old fashioned, dogmatic, or legalist. Unfortunately, these types of Christians seem to be a dying breed and the ones who face the greatest ridicule and mockery. It is my hope and prayer to encourage the Christian who feels ashamed to boldly live out their faith in a dark, worldly, and compromising hour. Our natural tendencies are to go with the crowd and follow their lead, but as Christians we know that we have been called of God to live separately (II Corinthians 6:16-18) from the crowd and to follow Christ wholly. Dear neighbor, may I remind all of us (me included) that we are not to have the same opinions, ideologies, and philosophies as the world because all of our foundational principles come from the Word of God, not man’s logic and reason. We know that God has given us His words and as we live them out, we should NEVER be ashamed of them, as doing so we are expressing of our love to Him (John 14:23). We are not ashamed of Him, the old gospel story, or His Word because:

-He has been so good in our lives

-He has been faithful to every promise

-He love is so marvelous

-His grace is greater than all of our sin

-His mercy is everlasting

-He provides a glorious salvation

-He gives joy unspeakable

-He allows us to have peace that passes all human understanding

-He changes our lives from the inside out

-He has promised us a home in heaven

Just to name a few! Let the scoffers scoff, the mockers mock, and the cowards cluck, but YOU dear reader never be a ashamed to boldly live out your faith for all to see and shine bright in this dark hour!
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38
